I like the imprecise sense of harmonious or aesthetically-pleasing proportionality and balance as well as the precise and well-defined concept of balance or "patterned self-similarity" that is demonstrated in this image with respect to the passage of symmetry;

1. as a spatial relationship;
2. through geometric transformations such as scaling, reflection, and rotation;
3. through other kinds of functional transformations
4. as an aspect of abstract objects, theoretic models, language, music and even knowledge itself.

In other words... nice work Pegg. It is images like this, that i look at and actually feel comforted.
